This version of BayStorm was cut abruptly in the beginning so I can’t hear the first word…
I tried to make this one sound and read like the actual radio, so grammar had to go out the window!

“???” yeah, that’s right. I don’t know if it slipped out of her mouth, but she probably was thinking that too. That she cut her bangs off too short. So, like this, we are accepting words for me to shout out at the beginning of the show. If you can send us the specific circumstance of the event, that would be great. This is Kazunari Ninomiya’s Baystorm and today’s opening song is, Nuno's “Crave.”

(The song plays…)

Do you know this song? It’s a song by a person name, Nuno. It will be gradually revealed, but, if I can say one thing, this was the song I covered for on the bass. I’ll never forget. So, I was 13 or 14 or 15 years old, and it was the first time I covered a foreign/English song. I was still a bassist at the time, and I covered this song. So, I was really nostalgic and played this song. The song was Nuno’s “Crave.”

This is Ninomiya Kazunari from Arashi on Baystorm, at this time let’s start this section of the program, “Shuffle fight keyword.” (Clap, clap, clap) So, go ahead. (Laughing) This is “bimyou.” (Wishy-washy) This is from pen-name “Barairo no jukensei”*, and the keyword is “fetish.” It’s hard to be open about it, but I have a fetish for male hands. At every occasion I am searching for the beautiful pair of hands, and few days ago I found the 100% perfect (my type) set of hands. The ratio of finger to palm, the shape of finger nails, the slight tan, the difference between the length… it was perfect! Since I realized I was a hand-fetish, it has been five years, and I finally found it. And, recently I’ve been going/traveling to touch these hands everyday. Wow, so she is visiting to touch the hand everyday! “Ninomiya Kazunari-san what kind of fetish do you have?” She is asking me my fetish and I think, hands too. When I first touch a woman’s hands, during the job … or at work when I get interviewed, most writers are female, you know? Times like that, writers are writing was a pen in their hand so I look at their hands. I really wanted to play the piano, since I was young. So I want thin, long, pretty hands to play the piano. But my house only has a digital piano we bought during the “Bubble.”** That’s all we’ve got. But we gave it away recently. Because we never use it. And it’s an item from the “Bubble.” So, we thought, let’s give it away. And we did. Oh, and fingers that type of the keyboard is nice too. On a computer.

Next up, well, which one should I go to? (Pause) This one! Pen-name “Shourai no yume ha kennzuishi”*** sent this one. The keyword is “uniform.” I have been a tomboy since elementary school and only wore boy-clothing. So, when I meet people I know in my uniform, they don’t notice me. “Ninomiya-kun, what do you do in order to not be noticed?” Well, actually, I don’t really mind if I am noticed. So I don’t really do anything to hide myself. Yeah. But I never got noticed that I was wearing a wig when I was a “bozu” (skinhead). I first appeared on TV “bozu”, then I wore I wig, but no one really noticed. But until then I was a skinhead, so everyone looked at me in convenient stores. I didn’t really wear hats or anything. Especially at my hometown.

I have recently, because it is cold, been staying up. Sleepiness, like the feeling of drowsiness, never happens. Even this kind of wind feels chilly. Even staying at my house, it feels cold. Am I “doukyuushou”****? When I hit my head, really, it’s like… I just give up. Because it hurts so much. Like, when I bump my head on shelves. Some to think of it, it must be hard at a baseball team. If you think about it that way. ‘Cause you all of a sudden have to be a skinhead. There’s this kind of, awkwardness to it. I think. What team were you on? (Another person’s voice, staff maybe?) “Baseball.” On the baseball team. You were a catcher, weren’t you? “Catcher.” Yeah, you look like perfect catcher material. Completely. You were always a Catcher, right? “Since, grade 5.” Yup, thought so. So, in this section of the program, “Shuffle Fight Keyword,” we are looking for free-talk topics, so if you can send it in with a little anecdote that would be great. Let’s go to the music now, with Mr. Big “To be with you.”

(Music)

Last week, I think, last week there was a concert in Hokkaido. Right? The topic of Mr. Big came up. The audience’s response was not so hot. I just played it, but I guess you can’t listen (to this station) in Hokkaido. That was a mistake of mine. I noticed after I played it. I was like “Oops, you can’t listen to this program in Hokkaido can you?” If you like Arashi and you listen to music by Arashi, then you’ve probably heard the song before but didn’t realize that it was by Mr. Big. That’s why I played the song. The song was by Mr. Big, “To be with you.”

This is Ninomiya Kazunari from Arashi on Baystorm and next up is “Ura-Arashi.” (Secrets of Arashi) Ok, so first up is this person, pen-name “I’m always in front of the radio praying for a sticker.” I have heard the filming of Arashi’s movie “The Yellow Tear” has ended recently. Congratulation. How was the director? Did you discuss about the characters with members of Arashi? If there are any funny episodes from back stage please let us know. In general, Arashi members don’t really talk about their characters amongst one another. Innudou director, was funny and you could really tell that he liked Arashi. Like, “wow, he really cares for Arashi,” it just poured out of him, he was that kind of director. Yeah, so it is all finished. And this is released next year in around spring in March. I think. So, I guess the director and we were very busy. I mean we filmed it now because it was apparent that we were going to be busy soon. By next March I will have long hair. At least, I will.

Ok, next. Next up is… how about this person. Pen-name is “Arleen’s mother.” In “G no arashi” there was a section on girl’s farting, but are you actually waiting around in front of the monitors for 3 hours until they fart? If so, what do you do during those times with Jun-kun? Please tell us. We do nothing. We can’t really do anything. Because we don’t know when the fart will happen. Especially at that time, we had concert rehearsals until 4am and then we went to shoot this farting episode. I was praying desperately for her to fart during that episode at the time. Because we can’t be like “ok, so the farting is in 2 hours so let’s all take a break.” We have to patiently wait or you can’t tell if the farting happened or not. And it’s necessary to shoot the “oh! She farted” reaction too. So we just wait. Really, I mean after an hour the girls who need to fart start to tense. There is this sense of stress of responsibility, as the farting girl. Like, “even though everyone is here and ready, nothing is coming out!” People seem to get nervous in that situation. I think. Farting for a TV is no something that happens regularly. But if you think about it, nowadays maybe it is only acceptable to fart in front of a TV, or something. It’s quite amazing.

Next up is this person. Pen-name “Nino’s mama-san.” The new album is excellent. Especially the Caramel Song moved me. The last section before the last chorus (aka bridge) has a cute sound, the bitter-sweet lyrics and most of all the voice of Nino singing “miteta” (watching) from the section “akari tomoru no wo miteta…(lyrics) (I was watching the lights glow.)” really makes me ecstatic. How did you, Nino, feel emotionally when you recorded the song? If there are any anecdotes please tell us. She says our new album is excellent! What do you think of it, really? The new album. “Arashic.” How may years ago did it come out anyways? (Laughs) (Another person’s voice) “How many years ago?! Well, um, July 5th.” July? Of this year? Oh, ok. “Arashic,” right. Of course. At the time, what I was feeling? Well, there isn’t much. I don’t want it to be approached differently (that what the writer implied) so I don’t put much emotion to it. Since it was made for me. So, “Caramel song” was recorded in 15 minutes. I’ve said this before, right? Yup, I only sang it 3 times. It’s going with the flow. Everything is. But, how is this song? Is it popular…around here? Some people say this album is good and some say they liked this song. But then again, it could be because they are people around me. But really, lots of people tell me so for this album. If I think about it. I just realized it. I hope this becomes a summer tradition. The album release, that is. From now on. We have been releasing constantly… how many albums are released at this point? 6? 6th album, huh? Wow. 6th album. I guess so. I hope we keep releasing steadily like this. Collecting them takes time too. I have to keep working hard.

So, this was the section, “Ura-arashi.” Let’s listen to some music now. From listening to the first two song you can tell that, well, the first song was Nuno on guitar, and on the second song by Mr. Big had the bassist B.B. Sean, and they both joined together to play this song. So if you can listen carefully to their instruments that would make me happy. It’s Arashi with “Run away Train.”

So this has been hosted by Ninomiya Kazunari from Arashi and it’s time for the show to wrap up. Today’s winner is this person, who talked about the fetish. I want to give her this (?). And the pen-name award goes to “I’m always in front of the radio praying for a sticker”, let’s give her the (?). Please take good care of them. And we are continuing with the "Ore knonayatu Quizu."
("I'm this kind of person" Quiz) If you solve the quiz, one lucky winner will get a set of four stickers I illustrated. If 50% of the solutions that were sent were correct, a special sing-talent shall be performed. It seems like many people are wrong. Really? More people are wrong than right. I’m confused even though I give out the questions. What to do? Yeah, I think so. It’s too typical. Oh, really. Well, everyone still has time to think. The hint is “beta” (typical.) (Another voice) “The hint is typical.” Yup! This is such a odd radio show. (Laugh) What just happened? Between Itabashi-san and I? and then from me to Fujiwata-kun. Fujiwata-kun said the “hint was typical,” and I think saying typical over and over should be enough of a hint. Try to remember carefully. You still have time. There is time. So, please send us your solutions. You can send solutions and letters from your cell-phones or computers. From the computer access

and access baystorm. There are many programs active on the site so please take a look.

It’s almost time to say good-bye, but… can I say good bye, now? (Another voice) “um, not yet.” Wait, what happened? (Another voice) “It’s about this.” Arashi, Big, Dream, Project! (Claps) Taiwan dream. Kore… (stopping mid-word) why does the word “dream” get attached? I wonder. I recall there was the word “dream” attached for the V6 as well.

We are doing a concert in Taiwan. Taiwan dream, Arashi concert in Taipei! 2006/9/16 and 17th starting at 19:00. In two days there are two concerts. It’s being held at the Taipei Arena, which was made last year. No one from Japan has ever used the venue. Jun-kun was on a TV show “Kinkokushou” and I think that took place at the Taipei Arena. I think that took place there, but no Japanese musical group has performed there yet. It’s an arena that still smells new.

And Korean Dream. The Third Asian Song Festival is being held and Arashi is entering as representatives of Japanese music. It’s at Koshu Stadium, where 50.000 people fit. That’s superb. We are representing Japan. Maybe we should make a uniform? To start out. We should do that.

And Thai Dream. We are also going to Thai. “Nittai yuukou 120shuunenn kinen festival” (A festival in the memory of the 120 years of peace and friendship between Japan and Thailand) is the event. We are performing as guest musicians representing Japan. It’s 40 minutes. That’s amazing. Is this like a summer festival? Is it like it? Oh, I get it. If you think about it like that, it makes sense. So it’s not TV. It’s a live event. I get it. It’s capacity is 10,000 people. It’s held at Bangkok Impact Arena. It’s at October 7th? Yup, I see. So we are continuing concerts until then. As Arashi. Wow, amazing. We are doing concerts forever. This, dude, is for next week! Well, I guess we can reveal one part of the information. 1680yen. Yup. So, your host was Ninomiya Kazunari. See you next week.

“Your thighs are the best!”

Happy New Year! The first BayStorm of the year 2007. This is Arashi’s Ninomiya Kazunari. I send my regards to you and hope you continue tuneing in. This weeks opening phrase was sent by “stocking LR.” This phrase was said to her by her boyfriend, who was complaining about how cold it was, and kept putting his hand inside her thighs. Maybe it’s unavoidable since his seat is far from the stove. Nino, do you have anything you do to keep yourself warm during the winter? He places his hands inside your thighs, because he is far from the stove… that’s not right, you’ve got it wrong… I am jealous. (Pause) See you next week! …huh? Oh, I can’t? That’s right. We just started… It’s nice that the cold days a continuing, but when I get an e-mail like this, really… but, it’s really not that cold this year! “Stocking LR”-san it’s said that this year is a mild-winter. As for me, even in midnight I’m walking round only in one layer of white lab coat or a kattpougi* at Kagurazaka.** It’s not cold at all. Mmm… yeah, it’s nothing, so you should tell your boyfriend that. It’s not cold at all. Really. So, we get lovey dovey e-mail like these, but we are accepting any opening phrases for me to shout. If you can send them in, that would be appreciated. Kazunari Ninomiya’s BayStorm, tonight’s opening number is Arashi’s "Himitsu".

(Song...)

And that was Arashi-san’s Himitsu. Arashi’s Kazunari Ninomiya presents, BayStorm, this week let’s start with this renewed corner… (Announcer’s voice) “Yay! Please stay calm. Yay!”...This, really, people listening with their earphones must have been suprized. It’s hard to tolerate. If you hear it with an earphone. This, is very dangerous… A little dangerous. We renewed the title call as well and it’s probably a good start for the new 2007 year. Don’t you think? Didn’t expect to be able to start with ST-By’s voice from the beginning of this new year. I didn’t expect it. “Wonderful.” Ne? “Happy New Year.” Wow, indeed… just as we have entered the middle of the program. You came. Greetings. “Greeting.” Well, I will start introducing… (Paper shuffling noises) From “The opposite of smart is thomas”*** Wow, this is clever. Mmm, very clever. Last week, my homeroom teacher and I were talking casually, and I noticed there was dust on his beard, but I couldn’t touch on that subject. He was probably notified later by another teacher. Teacher, I am sorry you had to be rediculted! I wonder if I had any bearded teachers in school. There are some, I suppose. People with beards. Humm… Breads collect dust? Not much, right? “No, they can be. It can collect, yeah, collect in some cases.” On towels they collect, so maybe it was transported from the towel. When people with beard take a bath, do they wash their beard with shampoo? “Well… soap?” Face wash? The facial area is all the same then. Oh, really.

Next is from “Kajuunari-kun ga da-da-da-dan.”**** Recently, in a group of good friends, I said M-chan you are like Amano-kun from Kyaiinn.***** I had no cruel intentions, but the next day M-chan stopped wearing glasses, she seemed really hurt/effected by the comment. I’m really sorry. It’s to a girl, right? The sex (as in male/female) is different. But if it is a guy, that she really looks like, then I feel bad for the girl. But, in these kinds of cases, people who say these things have no cruel intentions. Really. They really have no mean intentions. It really hurts the most. These people are really hard/troublesome, these people… and she probably didn’t expect her to come without glasses the next day. ST-By, have you made that kind of mistaken-comments? “I have.”... yeah, you probably have many. “Yes, too many. No mean intentions, though.” Yup, those are the most difficult. Really.

Next is “I was listening to BayStorm and fell off the roof”-san. [I want to say sorry to my mother. This year Arashi’s Gaisenkinen Concert (The welcome back Concert) was on January 3rd and I totally forgot it was my mother’s birthday. I showed her the ticket and she sadly let me go to the concert, but I couldn’t tell her that I forgot her birthday so I told her that my friend bought the ticket on the day by mistake. I am so sorry! Well, it’s kind of… sort of understandable. For me, if it was a game release date on October 17th…then I think I would forget. Because I still get an e-mail from by older sister the day before informing me that it’s mom’s birthday tomorrow. But really it’s no use getting it a day before. I need it on that day. The day before is no good, because once I sleep I forget. Especially, if I play a game. But really, this I can really relate. Because I have those tendency too. When I play games. For an example, if a game is released on the 15th, on October 15th, then once I start playing, the 17th comes at a blink of an eye. Really. The 17th comes so fast. Two days is nothing. It’s quick. That’s why it’s easy to forget. There was a time I didn’t notice. Even once it passed. For that whole year. The next year was when I realized, when I tried to recall if I did anything the previous year. There are times when I really just forget. I think I can really fit into this well to some extent. So, in this section “please stay calm/don’t get mad,” we are collecting stories people are sorry about and want to appologise for. If you can send them in, it would be greatly appreciated. Let’s listen to a song now, Asian Kung-fu Generation‘s “Arumachi no Gunjou.” (Some towns are Indigo)

(Song...)

A good song. This is song that is currently playing, is the main theme song of “Tekkon Kinkurieto,” in which I am voice-acting. The song is by Asian Kung-fu Generation. Yeah, so Gotou-san, the vocal Gotou-san really like anime, and like “Tekkon Kinkurieto,” and was enthusiastic about taking a part in the project. Phrases of the project are used in the song too, so please check it out. That was Asian Kung-fu Generation‘s “Arumachi no Gunjou.”

This is Arashi’ Kazunari Ninomiya presenting BayStorm, next up is “Ura-Arashi!” First up is this person, pen-name “eraser.” Nino you traveled a lot during 2006, both abroad and inside Japan, for your job but is there anywhere you would like to go this year? By the way, on your Bay-FM timetable it said Africa, but where would you like to travel for your job and in private? Please let us know....Africa, I think. South Africa. Mmm… the World Cup is taking place there too. As a soccer mania, it’s a must. Huh? What is it? “A mania?” What?! “You’re a soccer mania?” Me? No, I am not. “But you just said you were a mania.” Really? Are you sure? I think the reception is bad. We are delivering this from the main office, but… Is everything ok? I feel like we’re running out of steam… (Laugh) I feel like we are running out of steam, but let’s keep going. Well, yeah, it’s about me wanting to travel, to Africa.

Pen-name “Two behind from the front”-san sent this in. Hello. I’ve been listening to this program from before but it is the first time to send in an e-mail. I started listening to the program because it was on when I turned the radio on when I was studying. And it got me in the habit of listening to the program and studying on Sundays. Good for you! When you talk about games though, I listen very closely and often forget about work. In 2007, I hope to send in comments so I can take part in the program. By the way, Ninomiya-kun are you able to do something while doing another? Like how I study and listen to the radio....Humm… When I was younger, I did that unconsciously. Well, if I start at the basic things, I slept and pee-ed at once. This is the basic. During childhood, I did this unconsciously. Wetting my bed. I had an additional step. I slept and threw up. A level above. Surprising. But I never woke up. I would like everyone to be careful. When you sleeping straight, facing the ceiling and vomit, it gets stuck. Ninomiya Kazunari, is miraculous because it has always been sideways. All sideways. If you do it facing down, you won’t be able to breath. This is dangerous. When I saw a scary movie, I often vomited. I threw up a lot back in the day. Really… I can’t even count how many times I vomited after Jason. Every time the shower curtain was opened, I threw up. It was surprising how often I threw up. My parents were surprised at me throwing up. Yeah, those things happened. But I never studied and listen to the radio… although doing so is very impressive. Can you get both actually accomplished? Do you get your work done? Well, people do drive and listen to the radio, although that may seem like a small thing. They do two things at once. But the most basic thing is sleeping and throwing up or pee-ing. Back in the day, that’s the basic.

Next up is pen-name “Jammy”-san. At the beginning of the year we do a kakizome.****** Ah, that’s nice. A very nice family. After that, we receive Otoshidama (money) and we eat Osechi (special New Years food), then going to visit the relatives. This is our tradition. At Ninomiya-kun’s house, how do you spend New Years? Are there any memorable New Years Episode? Please let us know. When I was younger, I use to deliver all of my nengajou******* by hand on January 1st to my friend’s house. Yes, on my own, cause it’s a waste of… stamps… and postcard. I didn’t buy the postcards from the post-office, so it didn’t have the lottery numbers on them. I wrote them on left over postcards from the office (not JE, but the family business). It’s such a waste other wise. At the end of the year, you have to do it, even though it is only delivered at the start of the next year. The office has to get rid of the old postcards from the end of the year, so I use those. Our office is a factory, so I used those postcards. So I didn’t give my friends the nenngajou numbers. Really. That was… Well, I ran around a lot, even though it was cold. That was what I was doing…since, I was doing baseball, and practice started from January 5th or 6th.

Next is this person, pen-name “Yours truly, Erico.” FNS and other special versions of music channels usually are in front of a lot of other singers, unlike normal. What is that like? And what is it like listening to other singers, sing other songs? Please tell us....This is, this is really good. We, well, we as in Johnny’s entertainment groups are usually pretty rowdy and excited, and at FNS and other music awards/festivals JE is really the only group that is so rowdy. Well, we are normally like that. There are people wearing such extravagant dresses, and we are the only ones making a raucous, which is odd. But, we usually watch while being excited. In general. When we are singing, other people watch inaudibly, well, sort of in a not-that-excited feel. Like, “It’s not really “lucky, lucky baby”.” Their tension, is like that. Like, “we aren’t at all learning anything about love.”******** Everyone’s tension is like that. So, if your singing a happy song, it’s a little difficult. Yeah, the atmosphere kills, in the case of Arashi. So, that’s a little hard. But when other people are singing, we’re all cheering and moving. Like, this year, we were third. SMAP-san sang, then Ayaya and her group, then it was us. Right? So, it was three hours straight. We ate in the middle. We ate right after we were done. So we missed Doricumu’s (Dreams Come True) and other performances then. Doricumu, I watched on TV. When did we go back? I think by that point it was half way into the program. By the time we got back. That’s why… that was… I remember being excited while watching it. But, it’s also pretty long. Even just watching it in front of the TV must be fun. And the musicians from overseas. Sometimes. And that kind of thing is fun. We are collecting questions for “Ura-Arashi,” so if you could send them in, we would appreciate it.

So! OH! I totally forgot to mention it at the opening! I was going to say that we are going to play our new song, so listen up! but I totally forgot about it. Oh well, right? Well, it’s the first BayStorm of the year, and we are going to start it right with Arashi’s new single, I hope you listen to it. Arashi’s “Love so Sweet.”

(Song...)

Many people may have heard this song already. On January 5th “Hana Yori Dango: Returns” started and this song is the opening song. Arashi’s new song, “Love so Sweet.”

Kazunari Ninomiya presents BayStorm, wow, it went by fast today. We are almost at the end of the program. I probably talked too much at the end of the year last year. It felt really short today. Let’s go to awards. Today it’s “Yours Truly, Erico”-san and the pen-name award goes to “the opposite of smart is Thomas.” We will send you Sakura-san. Please take care. We will be presenting the solutions to “I’m this kind of person” quiz next week, so please send in your answer. It’s almost time to say good-bye, but! Starting January 11th I will be in the drama, “Haikei Chichiue-sama,” so it would be great if you can watch it. Come to think of it, Hana Yori Dango is a 2 hour special, right? Well, our’s was decided to be an 8 hour special. It’s amazing. It’s like, there were that many fathers?! It’s unbelievable. Yeah. It’s like, the fathers are saying to each other, “you too?” “oh you are too?” Something like that. So it will start on January 11th at 11pm on FUJItv. Please check it out. This was Kazunari Ninomiya. See you next week!
