Today's problem will be about the new year.
Happy New Year. Please support us this year too.
So, what year is it this year? (In A.D.)
1. Year 2007 2. Heisei Year 19 3. Three years on a rock
(#2: heisei is a traditional Japanese way of counting the years, and #3 is a proverb)
The answer is #1, the year 2007.
So, happy new year again.
We say "Ichinen no kei wa gantan ni ari." (Meaning it is best to make plans for the new year on the first day of the year) Yes. So, my goals this year.
Well, last year was really exciting. Yes. I really think we did a lot. It was packed.
There was a long time together as Arashi, and well I began with my solo live, and ended with my play that just ended recently. Yes. It was a well-built year.
Well, this year, I'm really excited about how the year will turn out. There's a lot of things that are decided already (lol).
Well I mean, starting the day after tomorrow, we have our concert at Yokohama Arena. Yes. And after that, there's a bit of time, and then our movie will come out. And after that's done, we have a concert at the Dome. We might [have concerts] in the summer too, but we're not sure yet.
The schedule for the first half of the year is already mostly planned out (lol). I'd like to do my best for the concerts and the movie that's already set.
Personally, I like creating art, and creating things, so I think I'll continue making them too.
So that, well I don't know if it'll be this year, but I hope that I'll be able to show them to everyone someday, so I'll work hard at what I want to do!
Please support Satoshi Ohno this year too! That's all from Satoshi Ohno!

Today's problem is about the twelve zodiac signs.
What animal is drawn on the new year's greeting cards this year? There should be a animal from the zodiac signs that assign twelve animals for each year.
What is the zodiac sign for 2007?
Please choose from the three choices.
1. boar 2. dog 3. parakeet
The answer is #1, boar.
In the Mitsukoshi Sapporo Store in Hokkaido, there is a popular bread being sold that is shaped like the zodiac sign this year, the boar.
There are red beans inside the soft dough, and it is 231 yen for one. There are no wild boars living in Hokkaido, so people aren't very familiar with it, but boar-related products are really popular, even to the point where a 30 million yen (thirty thousand dollars) gold ornament is sold.
(* In Japan, many people buy goods related to the zodiac sign for that year for good luck.)
I see. But everyone, have you seen a boar up close? (lol) I don't really know. Yes.
But this year. It's the year of the boar. Yes. There are two people born in the year of the born in our members, Arashi's members. Matsujun and Nino. Ne.
At the Johnny's Countdown Concert recently, there was a new "Inoshishi Seven" (Inoshishi means boar) group that was made (lol).
It was created at the countdown. Ne. So, our Matsujun and Kazunari Ninomiya was included in the "Inoshishi Seven." Yes.
Didn't Johnny-san think of that? (lol). Really.
Sakamoto-kun from V6 was in it too (lol) It was really funny. Yes.
I'm born in the year of the monkey. Yes. Maybe I'll be in the "Saru Seven" (Monkey Seven), well I don't know if it'll even be created. Yes.
But really, I had a fun time seeing them!
That's all from Satoshi Ohno!

It's an English Problem today.
I think there's many people who move around using the airplane during the winter break.
So, how do you say "Kuukou" (airport) in English?
Please choose from these three choices.
1. Airport 2. Airbag 3. Air guitar
The answer is airport, #1.
On the third floor of the first terminal at Haneda Airport, there is a "Kitahara Collection Airport Gallery" open.
There are about 400 pieces on display from the collection of Kitahara Teruhisa, who is famous for collecting tin toys.
The shop next to it sells many kinds of toys such as antique model airplanes and dolls that Kitahara-san has collected.
Haaa. I want to see it. I really like these kinds of things.
But, I like to see them, but I start wanting to make them myself. Yes. Like the figures like these.
The busier I am, the more I want to make them. So last year, I was doing my play, and I had a day off. And I should've rested, but I woke up in the morning and I was making figures with clay by myself. My back started hurting (lol). It was like "what are you doing when you have the play tomorrow." Yes.
And then, that was in Tokyo. Recently at the performance in Osaka, I thought "Yarukoto ne-na" (There's nothing to do) at the hotel (lol). I had my manager go buy me clay, and I made one at the hotel (lol).
Really, it was like "Go to sleep!" but (lol) Yes, I did it.
So, I made a total of two new ones. Yes. So, I think I want to play around with it now and make into good creations.
That's it from Satoshi Ohno!

Today is a introduce "message" day (every Friday is the day he introduces message from listners)
(Message) "My sister is taking a high school entrance this spring, she buys a good-luck charm and makes a vow (Japanese Buddhistic way to pray)etc...
By the way, do you have any special way for your prayer or something you believe "good-luck" things?"
Well, humm,, Basically I just breath deeply 5 min before our concert. I breathe in deeply, and breathe out,,, Oh, Jun does this, too! (we) always do this. I don't see other members/ I don't know what other members do (any special things before the concert)
Nino plays game till last min!!
Well, I guess it's the best way for him to feel relaxed about the upcoming concert.
He doesn't do any special things.
Well, We (Arashi members) have our own ways to relax. So, maybe there are some ways that will be good for each person. So, you can find your own way!
Well, but do your best for the school entrance!
So, every Friday, I introduce a message that I received.
I look forward to receive a lot of messages via mail!
See you next week!

Today's question is about a school.
There is a unique University course in South Dakota in the U.S.
The University has "dating" course and students learn " how to find & know the best partner" ...
Wow! I didn't know about the course!
Basically, I am not good at school.
Like, when I was a member of club activity at Jr- High school,
I was the one who wanted to runnaway, if I felt "I was bound" (or restricted) during I was learning.
So,, I often skipped the club activity,,
Well, even after I became a member of Johnny's Jr, We had a dance lesson once a week, But if the dance teacher had told us "the lesson is only who is willing to join" I wouldn't have gone. haha.
Yup, I was that kind of person!
SO, I'm just wondering if I became a teacher what will it be!!
I guess no one follows me Mr. Green yeah,,
Well, but how about an art teacher? Maybe I can do it?!?!?!?!
That's about it!!

Well, there are tons types of instant cup noodles recently!

Well, lately, I ate "instant cup noodle"!
How did I eat it? I ate it without hot water~~. Shocked
I just ate a cup noodle as it hard is!!! with my friend!
Yup!
Cuz I thought, if i put hotwater in it, I would be full,,,,
I ate it with saying "it's sooo tasty!!" (Meccha umai~~ By Ohchan's way)
we were so excited!!
Well, it was one of the way to eat the instant cup noodle!
I prefer to eat food with the way no one does!
I think it's the point of pleasure to eat food!
I am sure that I will survive anywhere!!! Laughing
That's all by Ohno Satoshi!!

Today's problem is about beef.
There are many kinds of premium beef in Japan.
So, what is the commonly-known name for cows raised in the Awaji-shima area?
Please choose from these three choices.
1. Kobe-gyu 2. Hidaka-gyu 3. Tougyu (Fighting bull)
(*"gyu" means beef)
The answer is number 1, Kobe-gyu.
In Jakarta, Indonesia, a hotel has introduced a hamburger that costs about 1million 2300yen. (About $123)
This hamburger newly introduced to the menu uses 225 grams of Kobe-gyu with foie gras, and expensive mushrooms, and has fries with it.
Wow, I want to eat it. Really, like Kobe-gyu. I want to eat meat. But, even with like yakiniku and and steak and everything, they say "the pink colored ones are really good." It's really soft, and there's lots of fat in it. That (lol) is surprisingly, what I can't eat.
I say "Oo, that looks good!" and I barbeque it and eat it, but I think "ah...one is enough" (lol). Yea, I have that.
The reason is because if I eat too much of it, I feel sick. Yup. Well, I guess it just depends on the person.
So like Sho-kun, he eats anything. Well, Aiba-chan too. They eat kalbi all the time. Yup. They like tan-shio (tongue in salty sauce *hey, it's sounds weird, but it's actually pretty good) too, but they keep eating kalbi. Yea.
So, I think I want to get used to that. Yes. That's why I'm going to go ask them now. I'll ask Sho Sakurai and Masaki Aiba, "How can you eat that much kalbi?" Ne. I'll tell you guys when I'm able to eat it.

Today's problem is about the Yokohama Arena, from an email from Yuko-san living in Kawasaki city.
Today, Arashi will do a concert at Yokohama Arena as a Gaisen Concert from the Asia Tour. So, what is Yokohama Arena's maximum capacity?
Please choose from these three choices.
1. 9,800 people 2. 11,000 people 3. 14,000 people
The answer is number 2. 11,000 people.
So, we'll share the message from Yuko-san who provided us with the problem.
"I'm going to the Yokohama Arena Concert this time. I'm really excited. Oh-chan, how are the other members like? By the way, Oh-chan, do you get nervous?"
I see. Yes, everyone is at their best (lol)
I, well, getting nervous. ...I don't get nervous. I wonder why?
I don't get nervous at concerts. Well for plays it's wakuwaku (excitement)and dokidoki (anticipation). I think this how it's like. Well, that might be like nervousnes,, but, I don't have something where I'm tense and saying "Ohmygod, what should I do."
Once, when I was nervous, was at Mitsuko Mori-san's dinner show where I had to walk with a real candle. And, they told me "Don't blow it (the candle) out."
But, even if they say "don't blow it out," I was walking really slowly, but there was a lot of wind coming, and it was about to blow it self out (lol) That got me nervous.
It was like, "Crap, if this goes out, I'm screwed!" There was something like that. Yes. That was my nervousness. Yes (lol)
So, every Friday, we'll share messages from everyone. I'll be waiting via email. I'll be waiting for a lot of messages!
See you next week. That was Satoshi Ohno!

Today's problem is about entrance exams.
The entrance examination season has come.
So, what is the term for the one of the tests where you meet the examiner who asks you questions?
Please choose from these three choices.
1. Mogi-shiken (mock exam) 2. Mensetsu-shiken (interview exam) 3. Mokuhi-ken (right to remain silent)
The answer is number 2, Mensetsu-shiken (interview exam).
Sagami-railroads are giving away an omamori (a charm) for acceptance into schools, the popular ticket from Yumegaoka ~ Kibougaoka station (Izumino-line) to the third year middle school students who are entering the entrance examination season.
The ticket for this section is sold throughout the year, and last year, they sold about 15000 tickets during January to March.
For those who buy tickets by March 31st will be given an original "ema" (a wooden tablet where people write their wishes), and there will be events where they can pray for their wishes.
(* In Japan, middle school and high school are both for three years, and because high school is not a requirement, they have to take entrace examinations. Yumegaoka's "Yume" means "dream" and Kibougaoka's "Kibou" means "hope" which is probably the reason why it's considered good luck)
Wow, entrance exams, horrible. Well, I want people to do well on their exams. Yes.
Well, I, I entered Johnny's Jimusho when I was in my second year of middle school. I have memories of auditions and things like that.
There were about 50 people auditioning, and then the Shacho- (president of the company) came. And he asked me, "You, what's your name?"
It's already weird at that point. "You." Ne (lol)
Well, yes, not like regular entrance exams, but as a memory, yes.
Right now, our new song is on air. This. Ne. "Love so sweet" ne. Yes. I hope everyone does well on their exams by listening to this.
This new song will be released in February, so everyone please buy it! And those of you taking the exams, Fight!
That's all from Satoshi Ohno!
